Argosy University will register with the Maryland Higher Education Commission as an Out-of-State Institution of Higher Education offering online education. The University is in the process of completing the registration application and will submit the application by October 1, 2012. Argosy University’s registration is dependent on the approval or denial of the Secretary of Higher Education.

Argosy University Online Programs

The Maryland State Refund Policy applies to students who are residents of Maryland. A Maryland student that withdraws or is terminated after completing only a portion of a course, program, or term within the applicable billing period is as follows:

  If Student Withdraws from the Institution Refund

  Less than 10% of the course is completed 90%
     
  10% up to but not including 20% of the course is completed 80%
     
  20% up to but not including 30% of the course is completed 60%

Students focus on the care of the older adult and explore concepts and issues related to end of life care. The course examines the concerns of the older adult in community, long-term, and acute care. Physiology of normal aging and common age-related conditions will be discussed. Students learn strategies to provide optimum end of life care to the individual and the family. Symptom management, legal and ethical considerations, grief and loss will be covered.
