Introduction



The errata listed below have been applied to the 2010-2011 Argosy University Academic Catalog—Undergraduate Programs, Volume 1, Issue 1. In addition to correcting errors in the 2010-2011 Argosy University Academic Catalog—Undergraduate Programs, Volume 1, Issue 1, this publication includes new and updated information.

The list below compiles corrected and updated items with a short description of where the new information has been inserted. Students are encouraged to contact their academic advisor or program chair in the event they have any questions regarding changes in program requirements.


General Revisions to the Argosy University Academic Catalog—Undergraduate Programs



Updates

The following updates apply to Section Nine, General Education Curriculum .

The chart labeled “General Education Curriculum and Credit Hour Distribution Requirements for Undergraduate Programs: College of Undergraduate Studies ” has been modified as follows:

  • The following columns have been added to the chart: Associate of Arts and Associate of Science. The total general education credit hours required for each degree is 42 credits.
  • The following courses should be added under “Humanities”: HUM 200  Critical Thinking and Problem Solving, HUM 201  United States History, HUM 215  Diversity and World Cultures, and HUM 220  Ethics and Social Justice.
  • The following course should be removed under “Social Sciences”: SOC 116  Sex, Power, and Socialization.
  • The following course should be added under “Social Sciences”: SOC 260  The Global Environment and Public Health.
  • The following course should be removed under “Natural Sciences”: BIO 120  Human Anatomy and Physiology.
  • The following courses should be added under “Natural Sciences”: SCI 201  Ecology and Environmental Sustainability and SCI 215  Contemporary Applications of the Sciences.

Footnote number 2 should be replaced with the following:

Students take PSY 180   Interpersonal Effectiveness to fulfill this requirement. The following updates apply to the Bachelor of Science (BS) in Business Administration  degree program.

The course number and title for COM301 Negotiation and Conflict Resolution has changed. It is now listed as MGT 301 Business Negotiation and Conflict Management . The course introduces students to the nature and components of negotiation and conflict management. Theoretical perspectives focus on interests, goals, power, and style. Students will engage in projects designed to develop negotiation and conflict intervention skills.
