PP6015 - Narrative Psychotherapy

3 credit hour(s)
This course introduces the student to narrative approaches to psychotherapy, based on the work of Michael White and David Epston. Students become familiar with the narrative metaphor and with clinical practices such as externalization, deconstruction and reconstruction, reflecting teams, and focusing on clients’ resiliencies and resources. Extensive use of videotapes and experiential exercises amplify and reinforce the learning process.
